Hi! I teach private music lessons to all ages and all levels from styles ranging from classical, country, jazz, bluegrass and blues. I specialize in violin/fiddle and mandolin, but also teach viola, beginning guitar and beginning piano. I've played 35 years and have a wide range of experience from playing with many classical orchestras and musical theatre orchestras as well as touring the country with several commercially marketed bands. I've played with Natalie Maines (lead singer of the Dixie Chicks), Stephanie Bentley (co-writer of the Grammy award winning song BREATHE, sung by Faith Hill), CMA Hall of Famer Ray Price, Johnny Bush, Noel Haggard, Jim Scarborough, Pete Benz, Byrd and Street,Van Wilks (Austin TX renowned guitar player)and many other artists. I've also recorded on several Lubbock TX and Austin TX recording artists such as the Texas Belaires, Andy Wilkinson, Byrd and Street, Telling Stories, Jim Scarborough, Anthony Hugh, Kim Townsend and many others. I've had 20 years teaching experience, with several being at The Austin School of Music (out of Austin TX) and Georgetown Music Association (located in Georgetown TX). I have a very encouraging, paitient, positive and laid back style of teaching.  I help you as my student, whether you are an adult or a child, to learn and feel good about the musical goals you have set out for yourself!  I also help you get excited about what you are learning!  I love connecting with people and we'll have a great deal of fun while you are learning your instrument!  I will also help you discover what helps you learn productively!  Music is a gift and I am honored to share it with you during our lessons!
